How do you use the State Assessment Data Repository? What would you like to see from 2026 data reporting?
Plus EDC data in action + Version 3.1 coming soon!
We Need Your Feedback!
In fall 2025, we provided high-level updates on state assessment results as they were released by State Education Agencies. We looked at trends, results by district, and results by race/ethnicity.
As we look ahead to our reporting of 2026 state summative assessment results, we ask for your feedback! We want to know what high-level results YOU want to see this fall, AND how you (or your organization) may have used the State Assessment Data Repository. Please take this brief survey to help us shape our 2026 reporting and our future data developments. Answer any/all of these items, as applicable.
1. State assessment results from 2026: What would you like to see in our state summaries?
2. Have you or your organization used the State Assessment Data Repository in your work? Tell us how!
3. What would you like to see added to the State Assessment Data Repository? (variables, years, etc)
4. What new education metrics would be helpful to you or your organization in the form of a new centralized database?
EDC Data in Action
You may have seen the recent working paper out from researchers at Stanford, Duke, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Michigan, “The Effects of School Phone Bans: National Evidence from Lockable Pouches.” We are pleased that the EDC’s State Assessment Data Repository could help contribute to informing this research.
Today, the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard and Stanford’s Educational Opportunity Project have updated the Education Scorecard and the Stanford Education Data Archive (SEDA) using the 2025 state test results. The Education Data Center is proud to be able to provide annual assessment results to SEDA in support of this project for Spring 2022-2025 outcomes; we believe that accessible, understandable data is the core to accountability and improvement. You can explore the Educational Opportunity Trends Project - 2025 here.
Coming Soon
The EDC will release Version 3.1 of the State Assessment Data Repository in June 2026. This will include new data for 18+ states! We look forward to sharing the data updates with you next month.
